ALBAWABA - Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that his country will establish a special directorate to facilitate the "voluntary emigration" of Palestinians from Gaza.
Al Jazeera reported that earlier Tel Aviv expressed its commitment to US President Donald Trump's proposal to "take over" the Palestinian enclave and displace its people to neighboring countries.
A statement by the Ministry of Defense detailed on Monday that Minister Katz held a meeting regarding the voluntary departure of Gaza residents, and announced establishing a special directorate in the Ministry of Defense for the voluntary departure of Palestinians.
Earlier in February, Katz ordered the Israeli army to prepare a plan to allow the alleged "voluntary migration" of Gaza residents, in support of Trump's proposed plan, which "could allegedly provide broad opportunities for Gaza residents who want to leave, help them integrate optimally into the host countries, and also facilitate progress in reconstruction programs for a demilitarized and threat-free Gaza" as claimed by US President.
The plan included that Gazans who want to "voluntarily emigrate" to a third country will receive a "comprehensive package that includes, among other things, special arrangements for departure by sea, air and land," according to the Israeli ministry statement.
