Israel has advanced to its second round of voting in the presidential elections following failure in the first round to win an outright 61- vote majority.
According to Associated Press, two lawmakers are in contention following the first round of voting: Reuven Rivlin a former parliamentary speaker that received 44 votes and legislator Meir Sheetrit who received 31 votes. The remaining ballots were distributed amongst three other candidates.
Final results are expected later today.
