Israel has called on the Danish government to take part in international efforts to end the crisis in the Middle East, the Danish daily Berlingske Tidende reported.
"I am certain that Denmark can make a constructive contribution to a peace" Israel's ambassador to Denmark, Yitzak Eldan, told the paper.
"Denmark has a successful record in getting Israel and the Palestinians to talk," added the ambassador.
More than two weeks of violent clashes between Israeli troops and Palestinians in Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories have claimed more than 100 lives and left the peace process in tatters – COPENHAGEN (AFP)
