ALBAWABA  - Iran-aligned Iraqi armed group Kata'ib Hezbollah posted on its official Telegram account warning to arm "12 thousand fighters in Jordan".

According to the statement released by Kata'ib Hezbollah's security official Abu Ali Al-Askari on Monday on his Telegram channel, "The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has prepared its equipment to equip the Islamic Resistance in Jordan to meet the needs of 12,000 fighters with light and medium weapons, anti-armour launchers, tactical missiles, millions of ammunition, and tons of explosives, so that we can be one hand to defend our Palestinian brothers."

This comes amid protests taking place in Jordan to support the Palestinians in Gaza and calling for a ceasefire after over five months of war.

The war in Gaza started on Oct. 7 killing at least 32,916 Palestinians and injuring 75,494 others, according to data released by the Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.

Since the start of the latest Gaza war, some Iraqi armed factions - allied with Iran - announced their support for the "Palestinian factions" by targeting US bases in the region, and other operations targeting "military points" in Israel, BBC reported.
