Iraqi security forces accused of using torture

An Iraqi woman appeared in a popular TV show, accusing security forces of using torture. Iraq's acting human rights minister, Nermine Othman, said on Wednesday she was aware of the allegations and has written to the interior and justice ministries about them. On his part, a spokesman for the Iraqi Prime Minister Office, acknowledged, according to <i>The AP</I>, there have been "cases of detainees subjected to pressure."
