Iraqi Minister and King Abdullah II meet

According to PETRA, His Majesty King Abdullah II expressed hope that the fourth meeting of the International Reconstruction Fund facility for Iraq and the Donors Committee (IRFI) will succeed in supporting development projects in Iraq.
During a meeting on Tuesday with Iraqi Minister for Planning and Developmental Cooperation Barham Saleh, His Majesty said that Iraq's regaining of its vital role in the region needs a continuous support on part of the international community.

The Monarch also reaffirmed Jordan's readiness to provide all support and facilities to enable Iraq to overcome the current stage and regain its active role on the Arab and international levels.
" Iraq's stability represents a priority for Jordan and the success of the reconstruction process in Iraq is strongly linked to achievement of peace in it," The King said during the meeting which was attended by King's Advisor for Security Affairs Sa'd Khair.
King Abdullah said that building a stable and secure a strong Iraq is not only an Iraqi need but also an Arab regional and international necessity.
For his part, Barham expressed thank and appreciation for His Majesty and the Jordanian government and people over their support and stands by the Iraqi people.
He said the meeting reflects Jordan's genuine support to reconstruction in Iraq and its keenness to assist the Iraqi people at these difficult conditions.
