Salim bin Hamad Al Kimyani, Deputy President of Majlis Al Shura received Abdul Wahab, the Iraqi Charge d'Affairs, Lutfi I'zuddin, according to the Oman News Agency.
In the course of the meeting, they discussed the current developments in the region in wake of U.S. threats against Iraq. Al Kimyani received a message from the speaker of the Iraqi National Council during the meeting, inviting him to take part in the Arab Parliamentary Union's Emergency meeting, expected to be held in Baghdad soon.
In addition, Al Kimyani received a copy of a memo of the Iraqi National Council's speaker to the U.S. Congress on the “miserable situation in Iraq”, the agency added. (Albawaba.com)
