At least five people were killed in Iraq Tuesday from a suicide car bomber north of Baghdad, according to the Associated Press.
Iraqi officials told the media that a suicide car bomber drove his car into a group of army vehicles in Tikrit, killing five soldiers.
Another 11 soldiers were wounded in the incident.
Sectarian tensions ahead of April's tentative elections has led to widespread and growing violence across the country. 2013 was considered to have the highest death toll since sectarian civil war in 2007.
