Iraq’s President receives Lebanese Minister

Iraqi President Saddam Hussein received Sunday Lebanese Information Minister Ghazi Hani Al-Iridi.  

 

The visiting Minister, who also serves as political adviser to the leader of the Progressive Socialist Party Walid Junbulat, conveyed a message from the Lebanese government pertaining to bilateral relations and ways of strengthening them, the Iraq News Agency reported. 

 

In addition, Iridi conveyed greetings from Lebanon’s President Emile Lahoud, Prime Minister Rafiq Al-Hariri and leader of the Progressive Socialist Party Walid Junbulat to President Saddam Hussein and wishes to the Iraqi people for further progress and prosperity. 

 

In return, President Hussein asked the guest to convey greetings to the Lebanese President, Premier, the leader of the Progressive Socialist Party and to all the people of Lebanon. 

 

The President, moreover, confirmed Baghdad's willingness to improve bilateral relations in all areas. 

 

Present at the meeting were Information Minister Mohammed Sa'eed Al-Sahhaf and Foreign Minister Naji Sabri. (Albawaba.com)
