Iran's Defense Minister Ali Shamkhani arrived in Athens Monday at the head of a high ranking delegation on a two-day official visit, the first by an Iranian defense minister to a European country, reported the Iranian News Agency (IRNA).
Shamkhani said the visit is in response to his counterpart's visit to Tehran last year.
Talks between the two sides will focus on ways to expand cooperation in defense ties, said he agency.
IRNA said that Shamkhani will leave Greece to Minsk, Belarussia, for a two-day stay after the end of his visit - Albawaba.com
