Iranian Workforce Increases 2.3 Percent in Oman\'s Private Sector

The number of Iranian workers in Omani private sector companies has increased from 474,717 workers in December 1999 to 485,718 workers at the end of August this year, constituting a rise of 2.3 percent, reported Iran News Agency (IRNA), quoting a report released by Oman's ministry of national economy.  

The report said that the number has increased in all private business sectors except for mining and quarries, which saw a decline in number by 1.9 percent, according to IRNA. 

There has also been a decline of Iranian workforce in the field of education that stood at 3,779 workers, down 0.4 percent - Albawaba.com
