Iranian security forces have detonated a time bomb which was "skillfully" laid close to an oil pipeline in the southwestern Khuzestan province, reported the official Iranian news agency, IRNA, citing a local newspaper on Sunday.
"The time bomb was planted under the pipeline near Ab Shirin village in the Gachsaran suburb," the daily Resaalat said.
"Last Wednesday, the security forces detonated the bomb by
shooting at it after removing the bomb from the area close to the pipeline," it said.
Resaalat did not provide further details, said IRNA.
