Iran’s Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi said Tuesday that his country would not take part in a war against Iraq since Baghdad is cooperating with United Nations inspectors.

"So far, it seems that the Iraqi government has done a good job in terms of cooperating with UN inspectors," he said during a press conference in Lisbon at the beginning of a two-day official visit to Portugal.

"Iran is not going to support any military operation as they continue to cooperate with the UN so there is no need for using any force against Iraq," he said, cited by AFP

"It is the job of UN to judge if the Iraqi regime has any weapons of destruction or not, therefore we have to wait and see what will be their final report," Kharazi added. (Albawaba.com)
