Iranian and Pakistani officials in a meeting on Monday decided to strengthen the cross border anti-narcotics operations, Business Recorder (brecorder.com) reported Tuesday.
In two sessions the committee resolved that individuals involved in narcotics business were enemies of humanity and had to be dealt with an iron hand, the report said, adding that over the joint operations, the committee agreed that cross border movement of heroine smugglers would be checked more strictly.
The committee suggested exchange of maximum information about the particulars and activities of the smugglers and should be more organized and frequent to quicken the pace of extradition cases, the news service said. Both the sides realized the need to speed up extradition cases pending in the courts.
