Iran's Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi is scheduled to meet Pope John Paul II on the 50th anniversary of
Iran-Vatican relations.
According to Iran's embassy in Vatican, cited by IRNA news agency, the meeting will take place in the Vatican city on Thursday and mutual relations will be one of the issues on the agenda.
Meanwhile, during his upcoming visit to Italy, Kharrazi will also meet his Italian counterpart, Franco Franttini and discuss bilateral relations between Tehran and Rome, as well as the latest regional and international
