Tehran sees no need to immediately revive a dialogue with the United States, Iran's foreign minister was quoted on Saturday as saying.

"This dialogue has stopped now and we see no reason to revive it for the time being," the Arabic daily Al-Hayat quoted Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi as saying.

"We entered into an honest dialogue with the Americans to create a government in Iraq that has popular support but they kept on changing their minds and also changing their representatives in Iraq," Kharrazi added.

"There is no use in negotiation with the United States for our country," said Kharrazi late on Friday, arriving home from an official visit to Paris.

He said: "The US officials give some promises in their negotiations and then break them. We have witnessed the latest of such commitment-breaking in the Iraqi developments." "The negotiations would not be useful unless the American side meets their commitments," the Iranian minister noted. (Albawaba.com)
