ALBAWABA - The Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) announced that the central data infrastructure of the American company Amazon in Bahrain was attacked with a cruise missile, Tasnim news agency reported Tuesday.
According to the Iranian news agency, the army carried out a missile attack on Bahrain targeting Amazon and claimed to have destroyed the infrastructure.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard's Public Relations Department said in a statement on July 21, "The IRGC's aerospace warriors, in the continuation of the 24th wave of Operation Nasr 2, in response to the aggression and assault yesterday by the 'child-killing' U.S. army on the civilian facilities under construction in Dar Khuyin, attacked the central data infrastructure of the American company Amazon in Bahrain with several cruise missiles and destroyed it.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) opened its Bahrain cloud region, known as ME-South-1, in 2019, making it the first data center region in the Middle East.
The infrastructure serves businesses, financial institutions and government agencies across the region, offering cloud computing, data storage, and artificial intelligence in addition to other digital services.
Moreover, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) said it targeted military facilities in a missile attack at a U.S. base in Jordan.
Last Friday, two American service members were killed, one was gone missing, and another four were injured in an Iranian missile attack on a U.S. airbase in Jordan.
