ALBAWABA - The Iranian army issued a warning on Wednesday, threatening the Gulf countries against giving support to the American army, Tasnim news agency reported.

Iran's Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, General Ali Abdollahi, said in a statement released by Tasnim, "The countries on the southern shores of the Persian Gulf, which have issued various statements declaring that they will not allow the United States to use their territories against Iran, should know that nothing is hidden from our eyes."

Abdollahi continued, "It seems unlikely that this amount of military aircraft, especially refueling aircraft, would be stationed at regional bases without the knowledge of the host countries."

He also threatened that "any assistance or facilitation to the aggressive U.S. army is tantamount to participation with U.S. military forces."

This comes amid the expiration of the ceasefire agreement inked by Washington and Tehran to halt attacks for 60 days and the failure to extend it or reach a complete end to the war.

The Iranian Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly is currently on a visit to Iraq in a step towards strengthening the new regional order without foreign interference.
