More than 200,000 kinds of military hardware devices including armored pieces, flight telecommunications equipment and electronic devices have been designed and produced by specialized personnel of Iran’s army's ground forces, a statement said Monday, cited by the official Iranian news agency (IRNA).
A statement by politico-ideological department of the army's ground force said that chieftain tank, improved models of BTR 60 personnel carriers are among the products to be displayed at the exhibition.
The products are currently displayed in an army exhibition, said IRNA.
The Army Commander in Chief Major General Mohammad Salimi said great achievements have been attained by the Army Ground Force of which manufacture of advanced tanks, armored personnel carriers and a large number of sophisticated arms and weaponry or electronic devices are only a simple example.
He added that these eye-catching achievements were a great stride toward self-sufficiency of the Army. Speed Takavar vehicles, a variety of intelligent robots, laser control systems and digital direction finders as well as computer systems are put on display.
Modernized Kobra choppers, rigorous Tiger 400 tanks and cannon carriers are seen among the military hardware on show too, IRNA said – Albawaba.com
