Syria’s Interior Minister, Muhammad Harbah, voiced Sunday his country's readiness to expand security cooperation with Iran, reported Iran News Agency (IRNA).
The minister’s remarks came during a meeting with Iran’s Deputy Interior Minister for Security Affairs, Gholam-Hossein Bolandian, who is currently in Damascus on an official visit.
The Syrian minister called for immediate implementation of the security agreements already signed by the two sides.
During the meeting, Bolandian highlighted the need for bilateral cooperation in security matters, particularly the anti-drug campaign.
He also handed the Syrian minister a message from Iranian Interior Minister, Abdolvahed Mousavi Lari, inviting him to visit Tehran, said the agency – Albawaba.com
