INTERCONTINENTAL HOTELS GROUP APPOINTS A NEW AREA DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING NORTHERN GULF

InterContinental Hotels Group, the world’s largest hotel operator, has appointed Clive Holt as the new Area Director of Sales & Marketing Kuwait, based at the Crowne Plaza.

Holt’s previous roles included Director of Sales & Marketing at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain, Principal – CRM Consultant at CH Marketing International and Director of Sales & Marketing at Dusit Dubai.

Beginning his career in 1978 in the hospitality industry, Holt first joined InterContinental Hotels Group in 2001 in the role of Director of Sales & Marketing at Crowne Plaza, Bahrain.

Over the years, Holt has acquired a wealth of knowledge working in various other positions, such as Group Director of Marketing for the UK Hotel Consortia, Divisional Director of Marketing and Communications in Austria, and more recently as the Director of Sales and Marketing in Dubai.  In previous positions, Holt has had accomplished many notable achievements within his career including implementing integrated national marketing initiatives for Group Consortia; and in working with Crowne Plaza in the past, Holt was able to substantially increase room revenue, as well as improving room occupancy.
