"Mr. Singh received an invitation a few days ago," foreign ministry spokeswoman Nirupama Rao told reporters here.
No dates for the visit have been announced as yet.
Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee also accepted an invitation to visit Pakistan from President Pervez Musharraf during their July 14-16 summit meeting in the Taj Mahal town of Agra.
