Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on Wednesday offered Iran whatever assistance it needed following a quake that killed over 200 people.
"Our sympathies are with the families of the victims and with the Iranian nation in this hour of tragedy," Vajpayee said in a letter to Iranian President Mohammad Khatami.
"India stands ready to offer whatever relief assistance is required in handling this crisis," he wrote, according to AFP. (Albawaba.com)
