The Iraq Development Program is pleased to announce that the IDP Contracts Summit will take place in Amman on 15-17 November 2005.
Focusing on the requirements for companies to secure contracts in the development of a number of industry sectors, the summit will host Iraqi ministers and deputy ministers, including the ministries of communications, education, electricity and science and technology. All ministerial representatives will take part in a series of workshops and breakout meetings.
The world’s first summit dedicated to contracting in Iraq, the IDP Contracts Summit will provide an opportunity for ministers to meet with companies that can aid the execution of priority assignments, using it to identify the best partners and suppliers to work with, something they have been requesting for some time in order to ensure the immediate fulfilment of key infrastructure projects.
The summit will enjoy the full support of those Iraqis keen to begin work on funded projects, embracing up-to-date technology and strengthening local employment. Attendees at the summit will have the chance to meet with senior Iraqi companies, in order to establish partnership agreements and secure the supply of crucial goods and services.
