Border police officers were attacked with stones at the entrance to the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiya on Tuesday.

The officers were questioning suspects on the scene when a number of youths began throwing stones at them.

The Border Police officers set off in pursuit of the suspects, arresting a 14-year-old resident of Issawiya for rock-throwing.

Earlier on Tuesday, police arrested seven residents of east Jerusalem's Jabal Mukaber suspected of involvement in rioting, as well as four Old City residents suspected of involvement in Monday's disturbances at the Temple Mount [Al-Aqsa Mosque].
