Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Dina Mired, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF), the International Advertising Association (IAA) Jordan Chapter concluded last Tuesday its 2nd Annual Charity Bowling Tournament and donated all proceeds to the Foundation.
The final day of the tournament was highlighted by presenting a cheque to HRH Princess Dina Mired carrying the proceeds of the tournament that came from sponsorships, donations and registration fees.
HRH Princess Dina Mired thanked IAA Jordan for holding this event for the second year consecutively to fundraise money that will help the Foundation in achieving its goals in providing the best cancer treatment available as well as increasing the awareness on this disease and ways to prevent it.
“The partnership with the IAA Jordan reflects the Association’s awareness of its responsibility towards the local community and the role it plays in improving people’s lives,” said HRH Princess Dina. “I would like also to thank all the sponsors and the participating teams for taking part in this charity event that will help in drawing a smile on the faces of cancer patients, and I urge the IAA Jordan to carry on supporting good causes.”
For his part, Mr. Mustapha Tabba said: “We are delighted to hold this charity tournament for the second year, emphasizing the role IAA Jordan plays in being an integral part of the society. We praise HRH Princess Dina Mired and the Foundation’s staff on their continuous efforts in providing the best services and medical care for cancer patients, giving them the opportunity to live a happy and normal life.”
HRH Princess Dina Mired declared the winning teams in the first three places where Ipsos team came first, followed by Orange in the second place and Publicis Graphics in the third place. HRH Princess Dina Mired also declared the highest scorer in the tournament, Hashem Saltaji from Al Waseet team with a score of 190.
“We look forward to continue our partnership with King Hussein Cancer Foundation, and to work together on enhancing the services provided by the Center to cancer patients in Jordan and the region,” concluded Tabba.
It is worth mentioning that the tournament, which lasted for three days at Strikers alleys in Kempinski Hotel, witnessed an unprecedented participation of 24 teams and was sponsored by Team Y&R, Wunderman, Media Edge:CIA, Intermarkets, Kempinski Hotel, Play FM, Al Ghad newspaper, Al Waseet newspaper, Ipsos, and Photo Mexx.
