ALBAWABA - A new video of U.S. President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron has gone viral after capturing an awkward handshake between the leaders ahead of their meeting at the G7 summit in  Évian-les-Bains, France, on June 15.

Many internet users said that Trump appeared tired, pale, and grumpy. Others added that the U.S. President also lacked the strength "to do his signature pulling handshake" with Macron.

A social media user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Jesus.  He looks like he is about to fall over."

Another added, "What kind of handshake was that? It looked like he had a fake arm."

In contrast, several others took to the president's defense, stating that he might've been tired from recent events, including the war with Iran and the Freedom 250 UFC event at the White House.

The summit comes after Trump announced a peace deal with Iran, ending 60 days of tensions and reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

This year's G7 Summit is taking place in Évian-les-Bains, France, which borders Switzerland. In response, anti-G7 protests erupted in Geneva against global inequality, as reported by CNN.

Attending countries include the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Canada, Japan, and the European Union.
