i2 inaugurates new service center in dakar, senegal!
i2, the region’s largest and most diverse mobile phone provider has successfully inaugurated its newest service center in Dakar, Senegal. Present at the launch were Mr. Bashar El Kadhi, Senior Vice President of i2 Africa; Mr. Joseph Ndong, Minister of Telecommunication of Senegal; Mr. Waleed Maroof, i2 Group Technical Manager for Africa; and Ms. Nathalie Basque, i2 Managing Director Senegal.
Basque kicked off the event with a welcoming address that summarized i2’s commitment to Africa’s telecommunication industry and outlined the benefits of the new service center for mobile users in Senegal.
Basque stated that “i2’s business model, expansion strategy and marketing mix share a common denominator as they are all heavily customer focused. As a result, i2 continues to demonstrate its commitment and dedication to providing excellent products and services to its clients through numerous mediums, one of which is our service centers”.
Maroof confirmed Basques’ statements through his support and presence at the launch. Following the speeches, guests were treated to a cocktail reception at the premises of the center, during which El Kadhi presented Maroof with a token of appreciation for his support of i2.
Located on 10 Avenue Leopold Sedar Senghor X rue Faure, the center will address the needs of mobile users including matters regarding customer service, technical
difficulties, warranty and software upgrades. i2 has about 50 service centers across 22 markets, with plans to expand its after sales support network in the next year. The service center can be reached on 221 821 7300.
