ALBAWABA- A hypersonic missile launched from Yemen forced the shutdown of Ben Gurion Airport in Israel, disrupting flights for about an hour and sending millions of Israelis scrambling to bomb shelters.

Sirens blared in Gush Dan, Tel Aviv, and even in a courtroom where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was testifying, according to Israeli media.

The missile triggered widespread panic, with reports of explosions heard in occupied Jerusalem and Bethlehem.

Although the Houthis have not officially claimed responsibility for the strike, the incident occurred less than 24 hours after U.S. and U.K. airstrikes targeted Hodeida and Hajjaj, key areas in Yemen.

The attacks on Yemen have fueled speculation about imminent large-scale offensives against the Houthis, who have openly expressed support for the Palestinian cause, intercepted vessels heading to Israel, and retaliated against U.S.-led operations in Yemen.
