Frank Sinatra partly owed success in his latter years to the Mafia bosses, who gave him work when no one else would book him.

Speaking candidly about her father's links to mobsters in her new

book My Father’s Daughter, Tina Sinatra has confirmed what most fans merely assumed; they were his best friends.

She says, "he was working in the clubs and hotels the Mafia owned

and controlled; he worked for them. When dad was on the skids,

they were hiring him when no one else would. That was a big boost

when he couldn't get a job. They stuck by him."

But she admits that no matter how close members of the Mafia go

to Sinatra, his greatest friend was American President John F Kennedy

She adds, "they were very good friends and they had great fun

together. It was hard for him to meet someone as big as he was. In

my father's own mind he was like, 'Hey.' He was big." – Wenn.
