ALBAWABA- In a bold escalation, Houthi military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, announced that the Houthis have targeted the Israeli ship MSC SARAH V with a newly launched ballistic missile in the Arabian Sea.

According to Saree, this operation by the Yemeni Armed Forces marks the debut of the missile, which had recently undergone successful test operations.

This attack is part of a surge in Houthi offensives against vessels bound for Israel, with three ships sunk or heavily damaged since June, including two in a single week in Yemeni waters.

The Houthis have intensified their use of new weapons, including ballistic missiles, unmanned boats, and drones.

They also claimed to have targeted the US carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, compelling its departure from the Red Sea towards the Mediterranean Sea.
