ALBAWABA- In a significant development regarding the ongoing peace negotiations, the Houthi negotiating delegation, accompanied by the Omani mediator, has returned to the Yemeni capital of Sana'a.
Their mission involves critical consultations with the Houthis leadership as well as the Supreme Political Council, marking a pivotal moment in the peace process with the potential to put an end to the war in Yemen.
Earlier, Houthi sources confirmed the departure of the Houthi delegation from Saudi Arabia, a crucial step in the ceasefire and peace talks brokered by Oman. Despite this significant move, there is a notable lack of official updates on the progress of these negotiations.
As reported by credible media sources, the Houthi negotiating delegation left Riyadh in the company of the Omani mediating team.
Their primary objective is to engage in consultations with the Houthi leaders in Sana’a, underscoring the importance of these discussions.
One key point of agreement between both sides pertains to the establishment of a 20-kilometer buffer zone along the Yemen-Saudi Arabia border. This zone, as outlined by Sheba Intelligence, aims to maintain a demilitarized area of 20 kilometers in depth on both the Yemeni and Saudi borders.
