Lebanon's Hizbullah chief, Shaikh Hassan Nasrallah, on Friday criticized the report produced by the UN Committee, in charge of Investigating the assassination of former Lebanese Premier, Rafik Al Hariri, headed by German Judge Deltev Mehlis.
Nasrallah said the report aimed at sowing sedition between Syria and Lebanon on one hand and between the Shiite and Sunni people on the other hand. Nasrallah's remarks came during the celebration of Quds Day, held in Southern Beirut Suburb on Friday.
Nasrallah wondered in his speech why the content of Mehlis' report reached Israeli media before reaching any other media in the world. " It didn't give clear evidences nor was it definite or complete" Nasrallah stated, rejecting what he called a "European and American report". "It was meant to spoil the Lebanese -Syrian relations and to disarm the Palestinian refugee camps and Hizbullah," the Shiite leader added. "The humble Lebanese and Palestinian arms are considered flagrant infringement of international laws but the 200 nuclear heads of Israel are accepted," Nasrallah declared.
