A Hizbollah leader said Wednesday the group would accept the mediation of UN chief Kofi Annan over three Israeli soldiers the Lebanese group captured on the border with Israel on Saturday.
Referring to Annan's arrival in Beirut later Wednesday, Hizbollah number two, Sheikh Naim Kassem, told a press conference, "If Mr. Annan brings from Israel precise and acceptable elements for us, we have no objection to his mediation, despite the difference of interpretation (of UN resolutions) between us and the United Nations." – BEIRUT (AFP)
