with a red carpet event
In the spirit of the renowned “Oscar” Academy Awards ceremony, The Hilton Family of Brands hosted their 5th Annual Travel Awards ceremony. The ceremony honored travel agencies in a unique and innovative ‘Oscars Night’ complete with a red carpet.
The glamorous event was held at the historical Mohamed Ali Pasha Palace on Wednesday 27th February 2008. Every intricate detail was taken care of, beginning with an elevated red carpet entrance with photographers on both sides documenting the guest’s celebrity-like entrance to the palace’s foyer. The awards were named in line with the nature of the ceremony just like the infamous Academy Awards, such as best sound effects, best light effect, best supporting role, best director award, best leading role, best performance, best production, best screenplay and finally Hilton Family Award.
10 travel agencies were awarded this year for their great achievements and support to the Hilton family of brands throughout 2007, for instance Gezira Travel, Travel Ways and Travco Egypt. Invitees praised this year’s ceremony, its innovative concept, organization and the distinctive design, in addition to the location of the ceremony in the Mohamed Ali Pasha palace which reflects the grand history of the country just like Hilton Hotels in Egypt.
