ALBAWABA- Hezbollah has announced a significant military operation near the Lebanese border town of Labouneh, resulting in heavy casualties among an Israeli special forces unit.

The Israeli soldiers had infiltrated from behind a UN base but were intercepted by Hezbollah forces. The group used appropriate weaponry to attack the Israeli unit, allegedly causing multiple deaths and injuries, and forcing the remaining soldiers to retreat behind the border wall.

Hezbollah also launched a salvo of rockets from southern Lebanon, targeting the Ras al-Naqoura area and several Israeli settlements. In a parallel strike, suicide drones hit Israeli forces in the settlement of "Yara."

The rocket barrage caused damage to the electricity grid in three locations in Kiryat Yam and Kiryat Motzkin, as confirmed by Israeli media.

In retaliation, Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier over Jezzine, Sidon, and Beirut’s southern suburbs, heightening tensions in the region.

According to the Lebanese News Agency, Israeli warplanes have launched airstrikes on multiple locations in southern Lebanon, including the city of Bint Jbeil and the towns of Sheheen and Aita al-Shaab.

These raids come amidst heightened tensions and ongoing military exchanges between Israeli forces and Hezbollah in the region, as hostilities continue to escalate along the Lebanese-Israeli border.
