ALBAWABA- Hezbollah has launched a series of heavy missile strikes in retaliation for the assassination of its commander, Haj Abu Talib, and three others in an Israeli airstrike. The attacks targeted multiple sites, including the "Barkat Risha" and "Hadab Yarin" locations with Burkan missiles.
Artillery shells were used against the Jal al-Alam site, and Katyusha rockets targeted Israeli artillery positions in "Khirbet Maar" and the surrounding area.
In response, Israeli media reported that interceptor missiles were launched in the sky above Safed without activating sirens.
The Lebanese Hezbollah announced the martyrdom of its leader, Talib Sami Abdullah, known as "Hajj Abu Talib," who they said "became a martyr on the path to Jerusalem."
The southern Lebanese border has experienced heightened tensions with the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) since the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, launched the Al-Aqsa Typhoon operation in response to Israeli Occupation violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Earlier reports from a Lebanese security source confirmed the death of four individuals, including a Hezbollah military unit leader, in the Israeli airstrike on the town of Joya in southern Lebanon.
