ALBAWABA- For the first time since the July 2006 war, Hezbollah has fired Fajr 5 missiles at Israel, targeting the Ramon military base.
This marks the furthest-reaching attack by Hezbollah since October 8, and the most significant retaliation against Israeli airstrikes, assassinations, and cyberattacks.
The missile strike comes in response to a series of Israeli actions that have killed around 80 Lebanese and injured thousands in recent days, including one of the most extensive cyberattacks in modern history.
Just yesterday, Israeli raids assassinated top leaders of Hezbollah's elite Rezwan Forces during a meeting in southern Beirut.
In a separate statement, Hezbollah confirmed it targeted Ramat David Air Base and airport southeast of Haifa with dozens of missiles, causing explosions in the Nahalal area near the base.
Video footage shows fires and explosions across northern Israel, with settlers fleeing to shelters. Israeli media reported that 300,000 Israelis entered shelters in the north, and for the first time, rockets reached eastern Haifa.
This escalation signals a significant shift in the ongoing conflict, as Hezbollah delivers its harshest response yet to Israeli aggression.
