ALBAWABA- Hezbollah launched a series of intensified strikes targeting Israeli military bases and settlements, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict along the Israel-Lebanon border.
The group reported using new qualitative missiles for the first time in an attack on the Nasharim base, located southeast of Haifa. Additionally, the Ramot Naftali barracks were struck by a swarm of suicide drones, resulting in what Hezbollah described as direct hits.
The Misgav Am settlement also came under fire, with missiles targeting gatherings of Israeli soldiers.
The tension escalated further with a guided missile strike on a Merkava tank northwest of the town of Adaisseh, which Hezbollah claimed killed and wounded the tank's crew.
Multiple barrages of rockets were launched from southern Lebanon towards Israel's Upper Galilee region, prompting sirens to sound in Kfar Shamai, Metula, and neighboring towns along the eastern border.
In the Galilee Finger, three missile barrages resulted in damage, including 12 apartments in Karmiel.
Israeli authorities are grappling with the aftermath, as 23 firefighting teams work to control a massive blaze in the Kokhav Yair settlement caused by the rocket strikes.
In response to the Hezbollah attacks, Israel carried out raids on several towns in southern Lebanon, including Marouhin, Zutar al-Sharqiya, Toul, Shokin, Tolin, Kfar Shouba, and Khiyam, accompanied by intense artillery shelling.
The outskirts of Tyre and the towns of Harfa and Al-Sama'iyah also experienced airstrikes as the conflict continued to intensify.
