ALBAWABA- Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, popularly known as Hemedti or Hemeti and the leader of the Rapid Support Forces, has introduced a comprehensive 10-point initiative aimed at addressing Sudan's challenges.
Central to his proposal is the establishment of a civilian democratic governance system founded on principles of free and fair elections.
Hemeti underlined the significance of a unified national army as a cornerstone for overcoming the country's crisis. He highlighted the suitability of a federal framework for Sudan's governance.
The initiative emphasizes the need for a civilian-led government that represents all regions through consensus. It calls for broad participation from diverse political and social parties in the political process.
Additionally, Hemeti's plan advocates for the creation of a unified armed forces structure, combining existing militias into a cohesive national military institution. The negotiation agenda includes the formation of this unified army, addressing the transitional period, ensuring comprehensive peace, and delivering justice.
Hemeti's proposal explicitly excludes the involvement of the National Congress and remnants of the old regime from any political processes. Significantly, the initiative aims to conclude all of Sudan's conflicts, marking the April 15th Revolution as the definitive end to the nation's wars.
