ALBAWABA- London’s Heathrow Airport evacuated and closed Terminal 4 on Monday evening after emergency services responded to a suspected hazardous materials incident.

The alarm was raised at 17:01 BST, prompting London Fire Brigade to dispatch crews from multiple stations, including specialist units conducting precautionary assessments.

Heathrow officials urged passengers to avoid Terminal 4, confirming that colleagues were assisting those affected on site.

Trains are temporarily not stopping at the terminal, though all other airport terminals continue to operate normally.
Authorities said the cause of the incident remains under investigation, with further details expected.

The evacuation comes a day after airport authorities warned of major disruptions due to a London Underground strike running from September 7–12, though Heathrow Express, the Elizabeth Line, and bus services remain unaffected.
