ALBAWABA- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday declared that the military has destroyed 50 so-called “terrorist towers” in Gaza in just two days, warning that this was “only the beginning” of a larger ground offensive.

“I say to the residents of Gaza, listen to me well: you have been warned. Get out of there,” Netanyahu said, adding that Israeli forces are now assembling inside Gaza City in preparation for what he described as a “powerful ground maneuver.”

He stressed that his directive to the army is to continue dismantling what he called “terrorist infrastructure” across the enclave.

Meanwhile, the human toll of the offensive continues to mount. Gaza health officials reported at least 52 Palestinians killed since dawn, including 32 in Gaza City and eight who were seeking humanitarian aid. A residential building on Fuad Bek Street in Gaza City was leveled in an airstrike, leaving multiple casualties.

The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, claimed to have foiled an Israeli special forces infiltration in southern Gaza last week, saying its fighters seized equipment and inflicted casualties.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army confirmed four soldiers were killed in Gaza on Wednesday.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, at least 63,746 Palestinians have been killed and more than 161,000 wounded since October 7, 2023.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says 90% of Gaza’s population has been displaced, with famine conditions worsening under relentless bombardment.

UN experts and the International Association of Genocide Scholars have described Israel’s campaign as meeting the legal definition of genocide.

Despite widespread international condemnation, calls for a ceasefire, and demands for accountability at the UN Human Rights Council, Israel continues its campaign with backing from the United States and Germany, which human rights groups say makes them complicit in the ongoing atrocities.
