ALBAWABA - Falih Al-Fayyadh, the head of Iraq's pro-Iran Hashed al-Shaabi alliance, has called the United States to withdraw its forces from Iraq following the latest attacks against Islamic Resistance in Baghdad.
During the funeral for members of the group killed in the US strikes in Iraq, Al-Fayyadh detailed: "They targeted administration offices, a (Hashed) hospital, they struck forces tasked with protecting the borders."
He maintained by warning the US: "Targeting the Hashed al-Shaabi is playing with fire."
Hashed chief also called the Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani to try hard "to defend the sovereignty and dignity of Iraq. And this can only be done with the departure of all coalition forces from Iraq."
On Friday, the United States carried out airstrikes against pro-Iran militias in Iraq and Syria leading to dozens of deaths. The attacks came in response to the deadly airstrike conducted by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq against Tower 22 base in Jordan.
Tower 22 base was attacked leaving 3 American soldiers dead and about 36 others injured.
AFP reported that the US has 2,500 American troops in Iraq and about 900 in Syria as part of the coalition, which was formed in 2014 to fight the Islamic State (ISIS).
