Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal stated on at a recent visit to Sudan that if Israel were to cease its aggressive policies against the Palestinians and withdraw from Palestinian territories, the Middle East peace process would be a possibility.
"Resistance to Israel will continue to be the only option as long as Israel doesn't change its stance," Mashaal said, according to the AFP.
Meanwhile, Hamas published a videotape of two suicide bombers on its website, where one Palestinian fighter addresses the Jewish people, saying, "We will hunt you everywhere, when you wake and when you sleep. We are a blood-drinking people and we know that there is no better blood than Jewish blood."
Idham Ahmed Majila, who blew himself up in 2004, adds that "We will not leave you alone until we quench ourselves with your blood and we will quench the thirst of our children with your blood. We will not rest until you leave the lands of the Muslims."
The Islamic Jihad announced that in response to the Israel's "Operation Lightening Strike," in which Palestinian rocket launchers were targeted by Israeli fire in the Gaza Strip, the group was launching "Operation Tremble," in which some 100 rockets would be fired at Israeli towns in the coming days.
