ALBAWABA - Hamas just announced that it is compiling a legal dossier to challenge ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan's arrest orders. The May 20 warrants target Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh, Gaza commander Yahya Sinwar, and military wing chief Muhammad Deif.

The claims were false and unfair, according to Hamas. The organization accused Khan of supporting Israel, which they say is perpetrating genocide in Gaza and atrocities in the West Bank and Jerusalem. The legal report will thoroughly address these "baseless" charges.

Khan's travels to settlements and discussions with relatives of October 7 victims were noted in the statement. Khan was accused by Hamas of disregarding Gazan slaughter, embargo, and famine. The gang claimed over 120,000 deaths and destroyed over 70% of structures, mostly in health and education.

Hamas said Khan ignored the "major crime of occupation" by arguing that Israel had a right to self-defense like other countries but not the Palestinian right to fight occupation. Khan was attacked for saying the Israeli-Palestinian conflict started on October 7, neglecting its 76-year history and Palestinian tragedies.

The statement said that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said October 7's events were not abrupt. Khan was accused by Hamas of misciting Israeli media and trusting unverified reports of widespread sexual assault by Israel. They chastised Khan for accusing Hamas leaders without proof.

Hamas also slammed Khan for requesting an arrest warrant for Ismail Haniyeh, a political figure outside Gaza, but not charging Israeli Chief of General Staff Herzi Halevy, who reportedly ordered death and devastation.

The ICC and its Prosecutor face a historical credibility test, the organization said, thus they will continue their fight for justice and Palestinian triumph.

On May 20, ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan requested arrest warrants for Netanyahu, Gallant, Haniyeh, Sinwar, and Deif.
