Hamas, claimed responsibility for Saturday’s attack in the West Bank Jewish settlement of Adora, near Hebron, that left four people dead and six injured.
"We claim the Adora operation that left 14 dead and wounded", a statement read over the telephone to AFP by a Hamas official in Gaza said.
Four settlers, including a five-year-old girl, were killed in this attack.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) also claimed responsibility for the attack Saturday night, saying commandos from the “Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades”, the armed-wing of the PFLP, carried it out.
The Ezzedine al-Qassam said in the statement the Adora operation was in "revenge for the killings by the army of Akram al-Atrash," the Hebron head of the Brigades who was killed in the village of Dura, and 30-year-old Marwan Zallum, head of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, linked to Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's Fatah party.
