An exchange of gunfire took place at a checkpoint in Ramallah on Friday noon, reported CNN satellite channel.
The report did not show armed Palestinians, only youths throwing stones at the checkpoint, while Israeli soldiers responded with gunfire.
The channel added that the incident followed the massive demonstrations that took place in Jerusalem.
There was no immediate report of injuries, but the CNN correspondent described a case of a man shot by Israeli slodiers with rubber-coated-steel bullets. According to the CNN reporter, the man lost his knee, which was scattered on the road. A man lifted the knee-bone from the ground and showed it to the people at the scene.
Israeli soldiers were seen regrouping, after which gunfire resumed – Albawaba.com
