Free sessions with a personal trainer, free massages and free entry vouchers are among the benefits offered to those joining the new Al Raha Beach Hotel health club, under a summer promotion valid until the end of August.
In addition, those joining for a six-month period qualify for an additional month’s free membership, while annual membership is extended to 14 months and anyone signing up for two-year membership gains three extra months free.
According to Christian Dangel, sales and marketing director at the Abu Dhabi resort, it is an ideal incentive to visit the hotel and try out its fitness facilities, as well as feel good about getting fit.
“As a new hotel, we offer the very latest equipment – Nautilus Nitro Plus machines for every part of the body from the biceps, triceps and abdominals to leg extensions, lateral pulldowns and multiple free weight benches and bars, as well as cross trainers, bicycles and treadmills,” he said.
Other membership benefits at Al Raha Beach Hotel include access to the outdoor pool, squash court, games room, table tennis and baby football, water sports and team games, plus a spa with balneotherapy and massage facilities.
“The Aquamedic pool has water jets and streams for aquatic massage, as well as water ‘curtains’ and shower jets, and we also offer a variety of therapy treatments including lymphatic drainage, shiatsu and reflexology, Swedish, Balinese, Four Hands and sports massage, and aromatherapy - while body and mud wraps will be introduced later this year,” said Dangel.
New members this summer will qualify for at least one free massage, as well as personal training sessions and a number of free entry vouchers for friends and family.
Health club rates start at Dh5,550 per couple for six months, rising to Dh9,600 for a two-year membership for a man or Dh7,200 for a female – accompanying children are charged at Dh1,000 per year aged between three and 12, or Dh2,000 for 13 to 19 year-olds.
Daily fees for entry for non-residents are Dh100 per couple on week days or Dh150 at weekends, with massage charges starting at Dh120 for 30 minutes while equipment hire is around Dh60 per hour for aqua cycles, kayaks, pedal boats and more.
