Germany on Tuesday donated Dm250 million to the Palestinian Authority to finance medical projects and upgrade water infrastructure in Hebron, Nablus and the Gaza Strip.
Germany signed the agreement with the PA in Gaza.
The money is also to be used for renovating hospitals and offices damaged in recent fighting with the Israeli army, said the Jerusalem Post.
Palestinian Planning and Cooperation Minister Nabil Shaath was quoted at the signing ceremony as saying that he hoped other donor nations would follow Germany’s lead and help the PA repair the damage caused by Israel's ongoing attacks in the self-ruled areas.
