ALBAWABA- Yemen's Presidential Council head, Rashad Al-Alimi received the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Mohammed Al-Bedaiwi, who visited Yemen, today at Ma ‘ashiq Palace in Aden. 

The meeting focused on Yemen's current situation, with discussions revolving around ongoing efforts to renew the ceasefire and facilitate a comprehensive political process in line with Yemenis' peace and development goals. 

Al-Alimi highlighted concerns about Houthi militias' violations and their links to terrorist groups, underscoring the importance of regional and international pressure to address humanitarian issues. 

Al-Bedaiwi reaffirmed the GCC's steadfast backing for UN-led initiatives, stressing the significance of key peace references. 

Additionally, UN special envoy Hans Grundberg's recent visits to Ma'rib and Aden aimed to advance peace talks efforts. During his visit to Ma'rib and Aden, Grundberg held discussions with the Head of the Presidential Council and council members, focusing on international efforts to alleviate Yemen's dire situation and prepare for inclusive peace negotiations involving all parties.
